Midwest EP (Lucky Kitchen 1998, New York)

Midwest EP

This is my first release that received some attention from the IDM crew in the late 90’s. Only 300 CDR’s were made, each hand-assembled with an inkjet printer and a little bit of matching felt (which you can see if you look closely on the right handed side of the album scan).

The first track is the famous Phoenecia remix from those boys in Miami.

01 Untitled 27 (Phoenecia Remix)

02 Coilision

03 Gilgamesh

04 Bottom Bracket

05 Untitled 44

06 Dispaers

07 Chlek

Track #7 Chlek refuses to download

THANKS FOR MAKING THIS EP AVAILABLE!
(I’m in South Africa, struggle to find decent music here).

Haven’t had the chance to check out your other albums, but I really liked “Quondam Current” when it came out… :)

But actually, I posted this to tell you that the links for the Phoenecia Remix (which I have on CD thanks to “Lily Of The Valley”, but still…) are awfully absent, most probably because of what seems to be a trainwreck in your HTML code that probably renders #2 un-downloadable as well… ;)

The images above this textarea are also AWOL…

    Just my .02 EYPO… :)

ok, it *really* should be fixed now. Sorry ’bout the trouble!

Thanks for the feedback. I have no idea why the face-icons are missing. That much I can live with…..

    Greetings from Boston!

    Thanks.

About those icons: they don’t work because they’re missing a “wordpress” in their path:

    vs.

    Hope this helps… ;)

    BTW: Hi Irene! :)

Yay! I actually don’t have to download this because I OWN it :) and the Worm Interface album too. I note you haven’t got the Placekick EP up.
I loved this EP when it came out. Congrats on putting it up like this. Will go listen to some of your new stuph now.

Big thanks again for this one, Jake — checkin those advertisements again as thanks.

I too had heard the Phoenecia remix via the Lilly of the Valley compilation, but never heard this album in full.

I have a pristine copy of Dlue Veacan 12″, if you don’t have anymore Jake. When you gave it to me you only had a few left that you found in your grannie’s basement, so… :) Let me know & I’ll send it to you if you want it, or I could rip it & scan it for you if you want (project table, ortofon x5-mc, project phonobox preamp, apogee minime AD)

glad to discover your new site, and that you’re still active (publicly) despite having another career. thanks. :)

I would LOVE it if you could put up Dlue Veacon and Lawnshower! My copy of the former in particular is unlistenably crackly now :(

Jake asked me to rip Dlue Veacon for him, I’m just waiting to hear back from him if it’s a 33 or a 45. Always kinda wondered that. Anyways, I havn’t played my copy but maybe 2-3 times to rip it originally, which has since been lost. Soon. Cheers.

i played this CD so much. I especially liked Untitled 44. i’m sure the CD has laser grooves from playing that track alone. still have the CD and it’s lovely piece of felt. thanks.
